POSITION
Summary:
This position is responsible for a multitude of tasks which may vary from day to day, but will mainly involve tasks required in maintenance of the water distribution and sewer collection system. Skills are required in pipe installation and repair, equipment operation, pump operations, and water meter maintenance.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED equivalent. One year of experience in performing semi-skilled building, mechanical, construction, maintenance tasks on water distribution systems, sewer collection systems or other related work. Possession of a minimum Class B CDL with tank and air brake endorsement (or within six (6) months of hire date). Possession of Missouri State Water Distribution I Certificate of Competency (or within 18 months of hire date). Must possess a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license. Must be able to lift/move/carry up to sixty (60) pounds on a regular basis and up to one-hundred (100) pounds on an occasional basis. Must successfully complete a background investigation and pre-employment substance abuse testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Includes the following; other duties may be assigned:
Performs maintenance and repair on equipment including, pumps, vac. machines, rodding machines, flushing machines, water lines, sewer lines, valves, water meters, fire hydrants, trucks, generators, air compressors, and buildings. Collects samples of water, wastewater, soil, etc. Assists in the maintenance of city streets, sidewalks, lift stations, grounds/facilities, including such duties as snow removal and other tasks. Performs inspections on new water lines, sewer lines, and manholes to verify acceptability to city standards for prevention of water loss and sewer infiltration and inflow. May operate dump trucks, flatbeds, sewer line flushing equipment, sewer rodding equipment, gas powered abrasive blade saws, vac machines, forklifts, backhoes and other related equipment. Performs water meter reading and utility locates. Maintains required records and forms and submits reports as required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
